What is a Flungspot?

A flungspot is a wireless router like you may have at home. This has the distinct advantage that it is battery powered and uses the mobile networks so it can be used anywhere anytime.

What devices will work with my Flungspot?

Any wifi enabled device can be used with your flungspot, that includes but is not limited to:
ipods,iphones,ipads,blackberrys, laptops, Nintendo DS

Are there any additional charges?

All our products come with unlimited data while you are abroad, we do not impose any additional charges

What happens if I am delayed in my return?

If you can prove the delay was outside of your control we will allow up to a 2 day grace period, beyond this you would be charged £10 per additional day.

Will the device work anywhere?

Our flungspot’s use one of the USA’s largest mobile networks, which covers some 97% of the population, you may not always recieve the full speed but most areas are 3/4G enabled. You can check our coverage map for more detailed information.

Do I need any special software to use the system?

As the connection just shows as a standard wireless network you don’t need anything beyond a normal wifi enabled device.

How fast is the connection?

In major cities the mobile network is enabled up to 21MBit/sec which is around as fast as a broadband connection in the UK. This may differ depending on your area.

How long to do I have to return the device when I return?

A courier will be arranged for pickup within 24 hours of you getting back. You get to choose this date when you order.

What happens if I decide to extend my holiday

All you need to do is let us know and we will charge your card for the extra days.

What happens if lose / break my flungspot?

If you loose or break it you will be charged £400. This will be automatically charged to the card you paid on. If you take out insurance then this charge will only be £80.
